This site is the autobiography of one persons trip through life.  All the twists and turns, ups and downs with a graphical internet style.  I hope you find it interesting and stop by often to view the updates.  I am not a professional just a single inquisitive sole on this voyage.  This site is also an experiment to explore and to document as much as I can the important things in my life before they are forgotten or they fade into obscurity by the passage of time.  I wonder how long it will last on the Internet.

This site will become clearer and more comprehensive as time goes by.

I imagine the best place to start is at the beginning.  I was born in the early 40s in a small town in Massachusetts.  I am not quite young enough to be called a Baby Boomer.  My parents were hard working and I guess you could call middle class but not rich by any measure.  I remember having to do with minimal toys and lots of imagination.  Don't get me wrong, we were never hungry or cold but I never got a pony.  Ha Ha or maybe Boo Hoo

My First big "Voyage" was the late 50s when I joined the Saphires.  It was a Rock and Roll group that started from nothing and rose to be quite a big thing.  For a young kid it was very exciting and I thank my parents for giving me encouragement and support for this endeavor.  I don't think in this day and age parents would allow their kids to do this because of all the drugs and wild behavior that is associated with bands and pop music in general. The 1950s culture was more trusting and dare I say innocent.

Obviously a lot of things happened between the 50s and 70s and I'll get to that later.  I wanted to put up the Copperheads link because it was urgent as a lot of the members have disappeared or have left us.  The hope is that someone would happen on this web site who knows something about that time.

The Connecticut Copperheads was a Leather Levi club that a character named Ben, Myself, Arthur, Jack and David started.  I met Ben while out and about at the Dykes in Hartford.  Ben told me that he would like me to come over to his house on Tuesday night for a meeting he was having.  He was thinking of starting a club and I was the kind of person he would definitely like to join. Ben was good looking with a well groomed beard and deep voice.  He was very bright and had a confident outgoing manor.  I liked hanging out with Ben. My curiosity got the best of me so I agreed.

Ben ran the meeting and that's where I met Jack, David, Arthur, Don, Wayne and I cant remember who else was there.  He laid out the basics.  We would have a Charter - President - Treasurer - Social Director - Recording Secretary - and maybe a few others I have forgotten.  The purpose of the club was, charity work, group travel,  social events, support other clubs and an unconditional commitment to our own brothers. We had to write a Charter,  Rules for Membership, Code of Conduct,  and take an Oath.  It was just like a mini government.  We were definitely on a new "Voyage".  Meetings went on for about a year before we were ready to host a Run for other clubs.  I remember the contest for designing the back patch that would have to be worn by every one while on official club business.  I am to this day very proud.  We were officially a Denim club and if you wore leather your denim vest had to be an overlay. Western Hats were mandatory.  Our brotherhood was very much aware of honor and commitment. It was not even thinkable of doing anything that would disgrace the Club or Brotherhood.

Oh, by the way if you were wondering,  women were aloud to be members but we didn't have serious requests.  In fact I cant remember any women in other clubs either.  I guess it just wasn't a women thing.
